FUSE PANELS:
Our replacement panel's primary mission is to replace corroded, rusty, unreliable original fuse panels. We analyzed schematics and actual wire harnesses for every Corvair model and then using proven design features from the BlackBox Classic, we created a unique replacement fuse panel for use in all Corvairs. . New design offers nine modern ATO fuses compared to the original five to seven glass fuses and a built-in "Option" relay for custom accessories. The BlackBox HP attaches in the same place as the original panel and the kit includes custom extensions, illustrated instructions, and hardware specific to each model. Select your model below!
FUEL PUMP KITS:
RACER'S SILENT FUEL PUMP KIT As we all have observed, there isn't a reliable mechanical fuel pump
for Corvairs and with today's fuel there are many reasons to convert to
an electric pump including dry carburetors after parking and vapor lock
concerns. Additionally, if a replacement pump is ever needed (ours are going strong after 15 years in service), this pump is readily available at any auto-parts store as is its common, in-line filter.
This is a complete kit with illustrated instructions. ALL other competitor's electric pump offerings are a basket of DIY parts that leave many details unanswered and are not
complete kits or engineered solutions. The main vendor's products are rudimentary, noisy, lack comprehensive instructions, and
in the end may be more costly than our new kit.
Racer's pump installation is Plug-n-Play, hidden and SILENT. In a quiet garage with the car not running, the pump is just barely or not audible at all.

Low Oil Pressure/Priming Timer Module (option)
Our design makes all other controllers obsolete. This "LOP Module" is hidden under the dash and it's almost "Plug-n-Play (It does require one connection to an existing wire). Because of its unique electrical design, there are no wires to the engine and no added switches or oil-plumbing changes required at the engine. Nothing to see, buy, or install on the engine!
The $30 LOP module option offers: 12-second automatic carburetor priming timer, Automatic fuel pump shut-off in the event of low oil pressure (12-second delay), and Automatic fuel pump shut off if the key is left ON. The main competitor's controller primes for only 3-seconds and shuts the pump off with a loss of Tach signal. How's that going to help when you loose oil pressure? Plus the main competitor requires connection of five wires rather than one. Easier to install, more features, and half the price.
BYPASS PLATE (Option) Conversion to an electric fuel pump all by itself still leaves a potentially leaky original pump; nobody wants that! One way or another the original mechanical pump should be bypassed for safety. This optional bypass plate allows you to convert your original pump, working or not, into a "dummy" pump. This approach doesn't require any changes to the fuel lines in the engine compartment and in the end things look 100% stock. Your original fuel lines, all steel of course, need to be in good condition. Here's how it works: The original fuel pump gets disassembled, the bypass plate is swapped out with the pump's valve plate, and it all goes back together looking like a stock pump.

TED BROWN IN-TANK PUMP WITH OUR KIT
We also offer the "Ted Brown" In-tank pump coupled with Racer's factory-made, Plug-n-Play harness, control system, and our complete instructions. The price is based on the same retail price as if you bought directly from Ted except it's bundled with our control system. This package is a great deal if you also need a new sending unit and want a complete Plug-n-Play solution. This kit is compatible with all 61-69 cars including AC and Gas-heater vehicles. Note that this pump is not silent but instead provides the usual turbine whine of a rotary pump.
